Healthy Parenting: A Shared Responsibility

Parenting is a responsibility that evolves with the times, but it is also a cultural matter. Historically, caring for children has often been seen as a responsibility almost exclusively for mothers, but this perception is changing. Today, more and more couples share tasks, care, and decision-making, promoting gender equality and strengthening family bonds.

This reflection was the focus of the activity held on September 19, in partnership with the Association of Health and Solidarity of the Cape Verdean Diaspora (ASSDCV), at the Laranjeiro Parish Council. During the session, positive parenting practices, strategies for cooperation between parents, and the importance of educating children together in a balanced and healthy way were discussed.

We thank all participants for contributing to the success of this initiative!
