Culture and Solidarity Hand in Hand in Almada with the Play “Capitão Mestre”
On April 12, 2025, at 9pm, the Fernando Lopes Graça Auditorium in Almada hosted an initiative that combined art, community and solidarity. The play “Captain Master”, promoted by Missão Mãos Estendidas (MME), was marked by generosity and civic involvement.
With a symbolic entrance fee – 1kg of non-perishable food – the event aimed to support the social action carried out by AD SUMUS – the Almada Immigrant Association. The goods collected were given in their entirety to the association, which will deliver them to vulnerable families in the municipality.
AD SUMUS would like to express its deepest gratitude to all those who took part in this cause, both the public and Missão Mãos Estendidas. This event reinforces the importance of promoting actions that, in addition to their cultural value, also have a direct social impact. AD SUMUS will continue to work to ensure that solidarity reaches those who need it most, with the support of all those who believe in a more inclusive, just and humane society.
