CLAIM Laranjeiro receives visit from OIM and AIMA as part of migrant integration project

The Local Support Centre for the Integration of Migrants (CLAIM) in Laranjeiro today received a visit from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA). The visit is part of the project “Supporting a New Institutional Framework and a Coordinated Approach for the Integration of Migrant People in Portugal”, implemented by the IOM in collaboration with AIMA until 2026.

During the meeting, the good practices and challenges faced by CLAIMs in supporting migrants were discussed, highlighting the importance of proximity care, access to information and the services available to facilitate integration.

The project aims to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to meeting the needs of migrant communities in Portugal.
