APPSHO Conducts Free Nutrition and Oral Health Screenings in Partnership with AD SUMUS at Laranjeiro and Costa da Caparica
On July 28 and 29, AD SUMUS facilitated, in partnership with APPSHO – Portuguese Association for the Promotion of Oral Health and Hygiene, two free Nutrition and Oral Health screenings as part of the “Bairro sem Cárie” project, integrated within the Communities in Action program, supported by the Caixa Social Awards 2024.
The first screening took place on July 28, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, near the AD SUMUS facilities in Laranjeiro, and involved the participation of several children and youth from the local community and institutions.
On Tuesday, July 29, the initiative extended to the Costa da Caparica Urban Park (Parque Santo António), from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, in partnership with the “Bantu a Crescer E9G” project, developed under the Escolhas Program and promoted by the HipArtHop association. In a relaxed, outdoor setting, many children enthusiastically participated in the screenings, which not only promoted health care but also raised awareness about the importance of oral hygiene and balanced nutrition from early childhood.
AD SUMUS thanks all participants, the youth from the Laranjeiro Community Center, partner organizations, and the professionals involved, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to promoting health and well-being within the community.
