Awareness Campaign on Voting Rights

As part of its mission to promote social cohesion and the full integration of foreign citizens, CLAIM Laranjeiro organized an awareness-raising event on October 14 focused on the right to vote and the exercise of citizenship.

The initiative aimed to empower the migrant community residing in the parish by providing accurate information on the mechanisms for political and civic participation in the Portuguese democratic system. During the session, the participants were given a detailed explanation of the current legal framework, as well as the eligibility requirements for foreign citizens to register to vote.
